 National Outstanding Clinician Award 2009
NCIS is proud to announce that our Director, Professor John Wong Eu Li has received this year's National Outstanding Clinician Award for his contributions in clinical work and
furthering research.
Prof Wong, who is also the Deputy Chief Executive of the National University Health System (NUHS) and Dean of the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, formed the Cancer Therapeutics Research Group involving cancer centres in Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan back in 1997. Since then the group has carried out important research in cancer drug therapy.
Prof Wong returned to Singapore in 1992 from the Cornell Medical Centre, where he was their first Asian chief resident in medicine. |
