Dr Eugene Ong obtained his undergraduate degree from United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospitals, University of London. His postgraduate degree is from the Royal College of Radiologists, UK. His fellowship training in breast and women’s imaging was undertaken at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His research interest is in general breast imaging and breast MRI and he has presented research papers on these topics at both local and international conferences. As the Undergraduate Medical Education Director, Dr Ong is actively involved in the development of the new Radiology undergraduate curriculum at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He also regularly presents his work in medical education at the Asia-Pacific Medical Education Conference. In addition, Dr Ong is in charge of clinical audit in the radiology department and his interest in clinical quality improvement has also facilitated the Clinical Practice Improvement Project (CPIP) program at the National University Hospital.
