Dr Lynette Teo is a consultant radiologist with the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at the National University Hospital. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom and her postgraduate degree from the Royal College of Radiologists, UK. Dr Teo received the Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) fellowship, Ministry of Health Singapore in 2006 to subspecialise in cardiothoracic imaging at the Royal Brompton Hospital, Imperial College, United Kingdom. She has also been awarded the team HMDP in 2011 for a one week stint at the Royal Brompton Hospital for further training in MR myocardial perfusion. She has a special interest in congenital heart disease, interstitial lung disease and colorectal imaging. Her research interests include cardiovascular magnetic resonance in congenital heart disease and colorectal imaging. She is also involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education and sits on several committees in the Radiology fraternity. She is involved in clinical workflow matters and oversees the CT section.

  • Academic Medicine Development Award (AMDA) FY 2011 for magnetic resonance stress myocardial perfusion imaging at CMR unit, Royal Brompton Hospital in United Kingdom
  • NUH Way Quest Merit Award in FY2009
  • NUH Way Team Merit Award in FY2008 Q2 for improving patient satisfaction by reducing waiting time for CT patients that require oral contrast drinking
  • Recognition Award by Singapore Medical Journal in 2008 for reviewing with distinction
  • Clinician Scientist Unit (NUH) Merit Award in 2007 for comparing accuracy of preoperative rectal cancer staging between magnetic resonance imaging and multislice CT scanning in predicting curative resection
