Dr Neo Wee Thong

Consultant, Department of Diagnostic Imaging, National University Hospital (NUH)


Dr Neo attended medical school at the University of Melbourne in Australia and graduated in 2005. He spent his early medical career in Australia before returning to Singapore in 2007 for his post-graduate training in radiology. Dr Neo obtained the Fellowship of Royal College of Radiology (UK), as well as the Master of Medicine (Singapore) in 2011, and completed his radiology training in 2013 where he was certified by the Specialists Accreditation Board of Singapore.


Dr Neo was awarded Singapore Radiological Society (SRS) Lee Foundation Technology Transfer Fellowship in 2013 to receive training in imaging guided liver tumor ablation at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea.


In addition, he also has been awarded the Academic Medicine Development Award (AMDA) 2013/14 for further subspecialty training in interventional radiology. Dr Neo undertook a year-long AMDA fellowship at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (UK) where he received advanced training in general and hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) imaging-guided interventions.


He is currently a Consultant Radiologist at National University Hospital Singapore and his main interest lies in HPB intervention and imaging.
