Held at the School of the Arts Concert Hall, the second run of The Last Mile Concert drew an impressive turnout of 368 concertgoers and raised close to $20,000 from ticket sales and donations. The funds raised went towards the NCIS Cancer Fund, a sub-fund of the NUHS Fund, to fulfil our patients' desire to spend their final days in the comfort of their homes.
The lineup of performers featured Dr Azariah Tan, Joanna Dong, Lorong Boys, M'Ode Wind Quintet and Teo Poh Yin, a Senior Pharmacist at NCIS. The emcee for the evening for Kelly Cheong, a Medical Social Worker at NUH.
Gracing the event was Guest-of-Honour Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry Of Social And Family Development, And Ministry Of Culture, Community And Youth. who gamely performed a duet with Poh Yin, accompanied by the Lorong Boys. That was definitely the highlight of the evening!
