Biosketch

Dr Yee Choon Meng brings along a wealth of experience from his previous stint in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) from 2014 to 2023. As a Senior Consultant with the Department of Palliative Medicine, he ensured the provision of holistic care for both patients and their loved ones. With his expertise in cancer pain management and clinical quality improvement, Choon Meng led a team to develop the Ketamine Step Protocol at TTSH to treat patients with cancer neuropathic pain. Their research clinched the Best Poster Award at the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Conference in 2021.

Dr Yee is currently the Vice Chairman of the Singapore Hospice Council Quality Improvement committee overseeing the 3 national subcommittees: National Guidelines for Palliative Care (NGPC), Minimal Data Set (MDS) and National Caregiver Survey (CGS).

In his concurrent appointment as the Head of Dover Park Hospice from 2019 to 2023, Choon Meng oversaw the expansion of Dover Park Hospice Home Care service from 150 to 320 patients. He was also instrumental in the implementation of telemedicine at the hospice, winning the silver award in the Productive Improvement category at the Community Care Excellence Awards in 2022.
