Asst. Prof Clement Yong is the Head of Neuroimaging and Senior Consultant at the National University Hospital. After graduating with honours from the University of Western Australia in 2006, he later obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in 2016. He is now Director of Training for the RANZCR clinical radiology training program in Singapore and Assistant Professor of Radiology with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Singapore.
He sub-specialises in advanced head & neck and neuroimaging and is a clinical expert with advanced specialty training from the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston USA through the Singapore Health Manpower Development Plan Award. In recent years, he has successfully pioneered the use of contrast clearance analysis for tumour response assessment in Singapore and also the application of dual energy CT in the assessment of laryngeal cancers.
Dr. Yong has published multiple papers and book chapters on imaging, and regularly gives lectures and workshops internationally. He was won multiple teaching awards for his commitment to the field. A strong proponent for increased inter-professional education, he is also an advocate for greater regional collaboration across South East Asia and has participated in hospital outreach programs to Indonesia and Cambodia.
