Dr Koh Wee Yao is a Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore. He trained in medicine at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and is a radiation oncologist qualified by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).

His clinical practice centres on breast, lung, and central nervous system (CNS) cancers. He has particular interests in stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for lung tumours and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) for CNS disease, and is accredited in proton therapy.

Dr Koh has contributed to undergraduate medical education since 2010 and directs the oncology programme for the NUS Phase III medicine curriculum. His commitment to training extends internationally through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, where he served as Director of Training and subsequently as Training Network Director, and helped secure RANZCR site accreditation for radiation oncology training in 2023. He also helped establish the Advanced Practice pathway for Radiation Therapists at the National University Hospital (NUH), and is a member of the Singapore Radiological Society, where he has served on its Radiation Oncology sub-committee.

As NUH's liaison to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Dr Koh has secured funding through the IAEA's Technical Cooperation Programme across successive cycles to enhance Singapore's cancer-treatment capabilities. He contributes to public cancer education through the Singapore Cancer Society's Lung Cancer Awareness group, and has supported major international meetings, including the World Conference on Lung Cancer, in various capacities as speaker, session chair, abstract reviewer and organising-committee member.
His research interest lies chiefly in systematic reviews and clinical outcomes in thoracic, breast, and neuro-oncology, work that has been supported by a National Medical Research Council New Investigator Grant (2016).
