Oncology Nursing

2026/09/30
Our oncology nurses are at the heart of cancer care, providing compassionate, holistic, and specialised support to patients with solid tumours and blood-related malignancies. Beyond delivering clinical care, they partner patients and families throughout every stage of the cancer journey, helping them navigate the complexities of diagnosis, treatment, recovery, survivorship, and supportive care.

Our nurses deliver care across the full continuum of oncology services, from health promotion and disease prevention to curative, rehabilitative, survivorship, and palliative care. They practise in a wide range of settings, including outpatient centres, inpatient wards, CancerLine, and the Survivorship and Treatment Support Group. They are also involved in advanced therapies and specialised procedures, such as Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT), ensuring patients receive safe, evidence-based care tailored to their individual needs.

Oncology nursing excellence: specialist cancer care and support

Our Advanced Practice Nurses and Speciality Nurses further enhance patient care through nurse-led consultation clinics, symptom management, and palliative care services, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Committed to excellence, our oncology nurses actively contribute to the advancement of nursing practice through research, quality improvement initiatives, and the application of evidence-based care. By continuously reviewing emerging evidence and translating research into practice, they strive to provide the highest standards of care for patients and families.

Developing future generations of oncology nurses is another cornerstone of our practice. Many of our senior oncology nurses hold adjunct academic appointments and are sought-after speakers at local and international conferences. Our experienced oncology nurses also lead internationally accredited in-house education programmes, equipping nurses with the specialised knowledge and skills required to meet the evolving demands of cancer care.

The dedication and professionalism of our oncology nurses have been recognised through numerous national awards for excellence in nursing practice and significant contributions to the profession in Singapore. Above all, our nurses remain steadfast in their commitment to delivering person-centred care, placing patients and their families at the centre of everything they do.
